Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0745805A2] A deflector wall (30) is inserted between the first part (11) of the water chamber (8) and the furnace insert (7). The inner casing surface of the deflector wall defines the branch duct (40) on the outside and its outer casing surface defines the second section (17) of the flue gas duct (15) on the inside. The second section is defined by the inner wall (12) of the first part of the water chamber. The water chamber is made of a single casting, esp. grey cast iron. The furnace insert and or the deflector wall is made of esp. circular cross-sectioned steel piping. The inner walls (10,12) of parts (9,11) of the water chamber have ridges (28,29) protruding from them into the adjacent part (16,17) of the flue gas duct (15).
