[origin: EP0745806A2] At least two containers (I,II,III) containing heat-storage materials through which gases flow heat up the exhaust air before it enters the combustion chamber. Each container has at least two openings and at least a first and second slide valve (38). Each of the first slide valves is connected with an exhaust air feeder duct (30), and each of the second slide valves is connected with the clean gas discharge duct. The slide valves are connected with the second container openings. The first and second slide valves have a first and second valve slide respectively, synchronously driven by drive rollers (44).
