Abstract (en)
A gap defined by the pipe allows the heat exchanger medium to flow through radially outwards from inside. The gap converges in the through-flow direction (13) of the exothermal medium. The pipe is helical with the gap running between the coils (11,12) of the cylindrical spiral. The gap converges so that the speed and or heat exchange and or pressure reduction in the exothermal medium in the through-flow direction is constant per unit of length. The surfaces (9,10) on each side of the gap are curved with a cross-section in the form of a convex parabola whose curvature decreases towards the end (15) of the gap. At the start of the gap (14), the pipe has rounded pitch edges (16). The outward and or inward pointing surface (17,18) of the pipe are flat.

Ein Wärmeübertrager, insbesondere für den Einsatz in einem Heizkessel, besteht aus mindestens einem wendelförmig verlaufenden Rohr (3) für das wärmeaufnehmende Medium, sowie einem durch das Rohr begrenzten Spalt (8) für den im wesentlichen radial von innen nach außen gerichteten Durchtritt des wärmeabgebenden Mediums. Um einen preiswert herstellbaren Wärmeübertrager mit großer Wärmeübertragungsleistung bei geringem Bauvolumen zu schaffen, konvergiert der Spalt (8) in Durchströmrichtung des wärmeabgebenden Mediums. <IMAGE>
