[origin: DE4441486A1] The reflector has a basic body (10) consisting of a duroplastic cynthetic material mixed with a finely divided filler and possibly other additives and on which a reflective coating (14) is directly applied to a concave curved surface (12). The filler is chemically neutral and has a pH of about 7. The proportion of filler in the compound constituting the basic body (10) is at least 40 %. The filler has an average particle size of 1 mu m at the most. The surface (12) of the basic body (10) to be coated is of high quality so that the reflective coating (14) may be applied directly to it, while the coating (14) is given good durability by the chemical neutrality of the filler.
