The applicator has a material storage chamber (4), which is located between feed connection (2) and ejector nozzle (6), in material flow direction. The chamber has an associated volume adjuster. When the pressure in the incoming material rises, the chamber volume is increased, and decreased, when the pressure drops, to compensate for pressure variations in the material. The volume adjuster has a displacement body. This forms part of an inner chamber wall, and is maintained in a central position by a pretension unit, when the material is at normal pressure. The body is a needle (22), which engages on a seat (24) near the chamber intake.

Es wird eine Vorrichtung zum Aufbringen pastöser Medien beschrieben. Die Vorrichtung weist in einem Applikationskopf (1) einen Zuführanschluß (2) für das aufzubringende, durch Wirkung einer Pumpe aus einem Vorratsbehältnis zugeführte Medium auf sowie einen Vorratsraum (4), aus dem das Medium mit weitgehend konstantem Druck durch eine Austrittsdüse (6) aus der Vorrichtung austritt. Der Vorratsraum (4) ist - in Materialflußrichtung gesehen - in dem Applikationskopf (1) zwischen dem Zuführanschluß (2) und der Austrittsdüse (6) angeordnet. Dem Vorratsraum ist eine Volumenveränderungseinrichtung (21) zugeordnet, durch deren Wirkung Druckschwankungen in dem herangeführten Medium kompensiert werden. <IMAGE>
