Abstract (en)
The method involves applying an adhesive (C1) to the edges of the pages to be bound, ensuring that it penetrates between them. The edges of the pages are stitched with an elastic thread, e.g. of latex, covered with a textile fibre. The thread is inserted through holes drilled in the page edges by a fine drill after first attaching a reinforcing strip to the outer surfaces of the first and last pages. The adhesive can be applied after splaying the edges of the pages, first in one direction and then in the other. This ensures that a narrow strip of each page adjacent to the edge receives a coating of the adhesive. The pages are then realigned and a further coating of adhesive applied to receive a covering material.

Procédé permettant de relier un ensemble de feuilles ou de cahiers, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à faire pénétrer de la colle (C1) entre chacune des feuilles en bordure du plan (P) du dos (2) de ladite reliure et à proceder à un assemblage des bordures de feuilles par une couture faite avec un fil (7) en matériau élastique. <IMAGE>
