The heat treatment machine has the textile web (2) transported continuously through the machine, with tension applied across the web width, with light transmitters (14,15) and cooperating receivers (16,17) used to detect flexure of the web on at least one side. A regulation procedure for correcting the position of the web relative to the web transport plane initiated when the detected flexure exceeds a defined threshold.

Die Erfindung befaßt sich mit der Wärmebehandlung einer textilen Warenbahn in einer Spannmaschine, durch die die Warenbahn in breitgespanntem Zustand kontinuierlich hindurchtransportiert wird. Um Fehlorientierungen der Warenbahn möglichst sofort erkennen und zuverlässig korrigieren zu können, wird die Warenbahn hinsichtlich einer Durchbiegung mit Hilfe von Lichtsendern und -empfängern fortlaufend überwacht. Beim Überschreiten einer vorbestimmten Durchbiegungsgröße wird ein Regeleingriff zum Zurückführen durchgebogener Warenbahnabschnitte in den Bereich der Warenbahn-Transportebene vorgenommen. <IMAGE>
