Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9526435A1] Temporary surface covering particularly useful for driving heavy vehicles on swampy or sandy ground, characterised in that said covering comprises a woven structure formed of monofilament woof threads (1-26) arranged in a single layer, and warp threads (1-10) also arranged in a single layer, wherein the weave of the structure is such that each warp thread is interlaced with the woof threads, preferably and approximately at half of the intersections of rows and columns in the weave. The warp thread is left free in the remaining intersections so that each warp thread has at least one tight and single weave area (A), followed by an area of floating threads (B), said areas alternating in order to tighten the woof threads and to provide the fabric with a sharply raised and grooved configuration (S1, S2, C1, C2).
