An up-and-over door (1) which, even with large dimensions and correspondingly strong springs (16) can be easily and securely fitted, is provided in that in the region of the spindle (12) of the deflector (9) there is a device (17) for pretensioning the springs (16) which is secured to the springs (16) during the fitting of the door (1) and can be secured to the second end (15) of the deflector (9), preferably in the open position of the door (1).
