Abstract (en)

In the prodn. of pipes, esp. large pipes by the UOE process, in which the pipes are calibrated by cold expansion after internal and external seam welding, the novelty is that the pipes are conditioned by combined cold expansion and cold redn. in a sequence and amount dependent on the requisite profile. Pref. on-shore pipes are subjected to up to 2% redn. and then up to 4% expansion to the desired size, while off-shore pipes are subjected to up to 2% expansion and then up to 4% redn. to the desired size.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Rohren, insbesondere Großrohre nach dem UOE-Verfahren, bei dem die Rohre nach dem Innen- und Außennahtschweißen durch Kaltaufweiten kalibriert werden. Um die Festigkeits- und Verformungseigenschaften in Rohrumfangsrichtung weitgehend homogenisierend und bestimmte Eigenschaften gezielt einstellen zu können, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, daß die Rohre durch eine kombinierte Anwendung von Kaltaufweiten und Kaltreduzieren konditioniert werden, wobei je nach Anforderungsprofil die Reihenfolge und der Grad des Aufweitens bzw. Reduzierens festgelegt werden.
