Abstract (en)

A security document, esp. a bank note, identity card or the like, is provided with a magnetic material (pref. iron, nickel or a magnetic alloy) of 10-250 Oe coercivity and pref. greater than 100nWb/m. remanence for automatic authentification of the document. Also claimed is a method of producing the above security document by applying or introducing magnetisable material onto or into a substrate to form a magnetisable layer of 20-250 Oe coercivity and then cutting the substrate into security elements.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Sicherheitsdokument, insbesondere eine Banknote, Ausweiskarte oder dergleichen, das mit einem magnetischen Sicherheitselement versehen ist. Das Sicherheitselement besteht vorzugsweise aus einer Trägerfolie, auf welche ein magnetisches Material aufgetragen ist, dessen Koerzitivität zwischen 10 und 250 Oersted (Oe) liegt.
