The connector housing has a plug housing (1) with externally mounted connecting devices (5), for serial connection with at least one other plug housing with similarly formed connecting devices, and at least one housing chamber (3) which accepts an insertable, possibly latchable, electrical contact element (4). The plug housing has at least one opening (10), which communicates with the housing chamber, on the side with the connecting devices. A locking element (9) for locking the contact element in the chamber can be inserted into the opening.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Steckverbindergehäuse, bestehend aus einem Steckgehäuse und aus am Steckgehäuse außenseitig angeordneten Verbindungsmitteln zum seriellen Anschluß mindestens eines weiteren mit gleichartig geformten Verbindungsmitteln ausgebildeten Steckgehäuses sowie aus mindestens einer zum Steckgehäuse gehörenden Gehäusekammer zur Aufnahme eines einführbaren, gegebenenfalls einrastbaren elektrischen Kontaktelements, wobei das Steckgehäuse auf der Seite der Verbindungsmittel mindestens eine mit der Gehäusekammer verbundene Aufnahmeöffnung aufweist, in die ein zur Verriegelung des in die Gehäusekammer einführbaren Kotaktelements vorgesehenes Verriegelungselement einschiebbar ist. <IMAGE>
