Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9621824A1] The waste material is degassed under the action of heat in a pyrolysis chamber (2). Volatile degassing products undergo post-combustion in a post-combustion chamber (4a, 4b or 4c) in the form of a fluidized bed reactor as oxygen is fed in. The solid matter discharged from the post-combustion chamber (4a, 4b or 4c) is separated from the flue gas stream in a dust trap (8) and fed back into the post-combustion chamber (4a, 4b or 4c) preferably after being cooled in an external fluidized bed cooler. The temperatures of more than 2500 DEG C produced by the post-combustion of low-temperature carbonization gases with high calorific values (at least 8000 kilojoules/Nm<3>) can be kept under control.
