[origin: EP0749826A2] The press thruster (16) is suspended in columns (2) over the drive mechanism and is raisable and lowerable relatively to the press table. Each drive crank (17,18) in the elbow joint area engages on the corresponding elbow lever system (22,23). The press thruster is in engagement with each lower end joint (28) of each of the elbow lever systems height-adjustably via a positioning spindle (30). The end joints of both elbow lever systems supporting the positioning spindles are connected to one another by a coupling (25) extending normally in the movement direction of the press thruster. The ends (36,37) of this coupling turned away from each other locate against guide and support traverses (38,39) fixed in the columns.
