Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0749938A1] The machine has a vertical wall (6) separating the working area (1) at the front of the machine from the mechanism space (2) at the rear of the machine. The working area contains the conveyor (9) that brings the items (10) to the machine then removes them, and a tool (12) to perform one of filling, screwing or sealing functions. The mechanism space houses the drive motors (13,14), and the linkages to the tool (12). The mechanisms are mounted on the rear of the vertical dividing wall. The dividing wall provides complete isolation between the mechanism and the working area, ensuring their are no particles or other contamination of the material being packaged. The drives and tools are numerically controlled.
