[origin: DE19522771C1] The fire extinguisher comprises a housing which is shaped like an upright disc with outward bulging sides and consists of two mirror-image, flatly curving half-shells (2,3) fitting together along their circular edge. A container (9) for extinguishing material fills out the interior of the housing in which it is coaxially positioned. The container has two mirror-image facing torospherical heads (10) with cylindrical casing sections (11) along their periphery tightly sealing them together. The insides of the half shells have support arms (13) for the extinguisher container. The container has an opening with an outward protruding strut (17) around which arm fitments (18) grip.
