The doctor roll has a rotating roll (14) in a roll bed (12), both of which extend transversely across the width of the machine. Eine Rollrakel-Baugruppe als Dosierelement für eine Streichmaschine, die zum Beschichten einer laufenden Bahn (z.B. Papierbahn) dient, weist einen sich quer über die Bahnbreite erstreckenden drehbaren Rakelstab (14) auf. Der Rakelstab (14) ist in einem Rakelbett (12) gelagert. Das Rakelbett (14) erstreckt sich ebenfalls quer über die Bahnbreite. Erfindungsgemäß ist der Rakelstab (14; 14'; 14'') und das Rakelbett (12; 12'; 12'') Teil eines Baukastensystems, so daß der Rakelstab gegen einen anderen mit abweichendem Außendurchmesser austauschbar ist und dementsprechend das Rakelbett gegen ein anderes mit abweichendem Lagerdurchmesser austauschbar ist. Die unterschiedlichen Rakelbetten sind dabei derart aufeinander abgestimmt, daß die Drehachsen der verschiedenen Rakelstäbe (14; 14'; 14'') die gleiche Position relativ zum Tragbalken (10) einnehmen. <IMAGE>
