[origin: WO9614264A1] The proposed device comprises a housing (1) to accommodate a carbon dioxide cartridge. The housing (1) is designed in such a way that it can be screwed onto a drink bottle (3) and comprises a first half (10) and a second half (40), the first half (10) being capable of screwing onto the bottle (3). This first housing half (10) is substantially cylindrical and is shaped in an axial longitudinal section like a letter H. Between the upper limbs (13) of this H is situated a part of the cartridge, and the bottle neck (4) is screwed in between the lower limbs (22). A pipe section (27) provides a flow connection between the two hollow chambers between these limb pairs.
