[origin: WO9623034A1] This invention relates to a polymeric vehicle which is effective for providing a high solids formulated coating composition. The polymeric vehicle comprises a blend of at least one nonmesogenic substantially linear oligoester diol and at least one hardener which is a mesogenic polyol, phenolic ester alcohol or crystalline polyol, which blend is effective for reaction with a crosslinker which is reactive with the nonmesogenic oligoester and hardener.
