[origin: DE19509255A1] The rotary pump has at least one impeller with flow profiled surfaces at the supply channels. One flow edge (12) of the supply line (1) is aligned by angle to the rotation axis (13) of the impeller, such that when the impeller blade passes this surface there is a point of overlap between blade and flow surface. The length of an acutely angled flow surface is greater than the width of the flow line. The endpoints of the flow surfaces are displaced between 0.1 to 1.2 times the distance of an impeller blade pitch.
