[origin: EP0752733A2] The waveguide resonator system includes a waveguide (1) and a dielectric insert (2) located inside the waveguide. The system also includes several clamp bodies (3) for fixing the dielectric insert inside the waveguide. The clamp bodies are arranged between the waveguide and an outer circumference of the dielectric insert and only contact the insert tangentially. The resonator system has at least one supporting device for the dielectric insert, to fix it in a direction which is different from the fixing direction of the insert through the clamp bodies. The clamp bodies pref. comprise a rod, cylinder or plate and their clamping pressure can pref. be adjusted.
