[origin: DE4442290A1] The invention concerns work clothing of any type, e.g. belted jackets, dungarees, overalls, coats, parkas or oilskins, made of material of any quality. The invention is characterized in that a rated tear point, designed to tear when a sleeve or trouser leg is caught in or pulled into machinery, or in other dangerous situations of this kind, is incorporated in the garment so that the sleeve or trouser leg detaches itself from the main body of the garment, thus significantly reducing the risk of injury to the wearer.
