[origin: WO9526657A1] The invention concerns a token device which is used as a means of payment and consists of a coin holder (1) and a coin (2) mounted therein. The first time the coin (2) is removed, the coin holder (1) is damaged and thus the token device is devalued optically or as a result of being incapable of operation. The owner of the token device recognizes that it is a means of payment more easily than with conventional tokens or chips since it contains a universally usable coin. Nevertheless, it can be identified at a specific location where it can be exchanged and thus the advertising purpose is achieved.
