[origin: WO9622928A1] A control mechanism with side push buttons (5, 5') for the distribution of a product contained in a receptacle (1), comprising an end piece (3) mounted on an opening of the receptacle (1) and a cap (4) arranged on the receptacle so as to cover the end piece and having at least two diametrically opposed lever-action side push buttons (5, 5'), which are jointed to swing inwards and are secured to stops (7). A particular feature of the mechanism is that the cap (4) is fixed on the receptacle and comprises at least two diametrically opposed radial surfaces (8), which serve as a contact for the stops (7) of the side push buttons (5, 5') in such a way that a lateral pressure applied to the push buttons produces an axial movement of the end piece (3) from a closing to an opening position, with an elastic means (16, 18) biassing the end piece against the action of the push buttons to enable it to resume its initial closing position
