[origin: GB2288187A] A detergent composition comprising a surfactant selected from anionic, nonionic, cationic, amphoteric and zwitterionic detergent-active compounds and mixtures thereof and a detergency builder comprising zeolite P having a silicon to aluminium ratio not greater than 1.33 (zeolite MAP) and having a particle size, d50, of from 2.25 to 5 micrometres, preferably 2.75 to 5 micrometres. The detergent composition is preferably free of bleach. Granular and liquid detergent compositions are preferred.
