[origin: EP0753587A1] The assembly to quench and temper metallic materials, especially to temper tool steel, has a continuous roller furnace as the temper furnace. It has a preheating zone (31) and a zone (32) where the temp. is maintained. Cooling presses (40) are at the outlet of the roller furnace (30) for temp. controlled cooling of the material.
