Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0753604A1] Metal is recovered from an ionogenic electrolyte contg. the metal by electrolysis, using a direct voltage between an anode and one or two flat cathodes, 10 - 100 mm from the anode, on which the metal is deposited. The anode consists of two parallel metal grids (7), at least half of which is immersed in the electrolyte, supported by a busbar (6) comprising a Cu conductor to which at least one vertical Cu bar (16) is attached for direct passage of current. The bar is pressed into a sheath of Ti and is positioned between the two anode grids an attached to them. The portion of the grids immersed in the electrolyte is pref. at least 1 m high.
