Abstract (en)

- Polyolefin for non-black laser recording contains 0.2-10 wt.% silicate or SiO2 with a particle size of 0.01-100 mu m. Also claimed are: (i) a master batch contg. 20-80 wt.% of the additive; (ii) a method of producing the recordings; (iii) the recordings per sec; and (iv) the use of the additives for laser recording in polyolefins. Pref. homo- and copolymers of ethylene, propylene or butylene are suitable. Alkali(ne earth) metal and Al silicates and crystalline or amorphous SiO2 are used, esp. feldspar, (calcined) kaolin, nepheline-syenite, talc, Ca silicate hydrate, SiO2, pyrogenic or pptd. SiO2, cristobalite, diatomaceous earth, kieselguhr and/or glass microspheres. The polyolefin contains 0.5-5, esp. 1-3 wt.% additive. It may be coloured with (in)organic pigments or polymer-soluble dyes.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Polyolefin zur Laserbeschriftung enthaltend, bezogen auf die Gesamtmenge, 0,2 bis 10 Gew% eines Zusatzstoffes, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe Silikate und Siliciumdioxid mit einer Teilchengröße von 0,01 bis 100 µm. Die Erfindung umfaßt weiterhin ein Masterbatch aus diesem Polyolefin sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung laserbeschrifteter Formkörper oder Folien durch Bestrahlung mit einem CO2-Laser.
