Abstract (en)
The conveyor (11) conveying the book (1) has, in front of a cutter, an opener lifting the back and front book flaps (7) from the inner book (2). The conveyor passes through the opener. The cutter has a support (10) for the conveyed books or inner books. The cutter has a clamp (13) pressing the inner books onto the support. After the book has been fitted into the covers, the end side of the inner book, then the top and bottom are cut. The fold edges of the covers are retracted, or the covers swivelled up and pushed back for ease of cutting. The inner books are cut when stationary or moving.

Bei einem Verfahren zur Herstellung von Büchern, Magazinen oder Broschuren aus gebundenen Buchblöcken 2, die in einen Umschlag 4 mit Falzklappen 3 eingehängt werden, wird die Stirnseite eines Buchblockes 2 beschnitten, nachdem letzterer in den Umschlag 4 eingehängt ist. <IMAGE>
