Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0754630A1] This screw cap (1) forms a releasable closure for e.g. vessels, packages and bottles containing fluid or solids. The cap includes a pressure equalisation device, with a membrane (7) of fluid- and solids impermeable material which allows the passage of gas, and a liquid anti-surge element of gas permeable material, to protect the membrane from the contents. The novel cap is a plastic pressure injection moulding, and the membrane is integrated into it, esp. by injection into- or onto part of its top cover (3). There may be more than one membrane.
