Abstract (en)
The outer wall consists of a spacer sheet (15) to which is joined at least one plastic elastomeric layer, preferably formed of a multi-component synthetic resin. The spacer sheet, possibly made of knopped aluminium foil or cardboard, creates a hollow cavity between the inner (13) and outer wall. The spacer sheet is applied to the exterior of the especially steel tank, and finally coated with synthetic resin. The elastomeric layer is applied onto the spacer sheet, and is tested by excess, or under, pressure for leaks.

Ein doppelwandiger Tank (11), insbesondere für die Aufbewahrung von Oel oder Benzin, besitzt eine Aussenwand, welche durch eine Distanzhalterfolie (15) und einem auf der Distanzfolie aufgebrachten Elastomeren (17) gebildet ist. Die kautschukähnliche Elastomerbeschichtung aus Isocyanat/Polyol-Verbindungen und/oder Diamin-Verbindungen, insbesondere Harnstoffverbindungen oder Mischungen davon bildet zusammen mit der Distanzhalterfolie (15) die Aussenwand. Die Elastomerbeschichtung hat den Vorteil einer geringeren Verletzungsanfälligkeit als bekannte Epoxyharzoder Polyesterbeschichtungen, die in der Regel mit Glasgewebe verstärkt sein müssen. Die Elastomerbeschichtung Iässt sich kostengünstig aus reaktiven, schnellhärtenden Zweikomponentensystemen herstellen. <IMAGE>
