Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0754907A2] By the process the supplied amounts of primary air and/or fuel are reduced in a definite way under and shortly after the vibration of the vibrating grate, whereby a sudden increase of the combustion rate caused by the vibration is avoided. As a result the sudden drops of the oxygen content of the exhaust gas occurring in common boilers are avoided, said drops being caused by the fact that the common fuel control reacts too slowly on sudden changes in the combustion conditions.
