Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9626128A1] The invention concerns a support for drinks cans or other containers having a conical sleeve section (2) and a laterally projecting edge (3). The support comprises a cover part (4) made of flat material with holes (6) for inserting a container (1) by its conical section in each hole. The support further comprises on the inner peripheries of the holes tongues (8) to be folded out of the plane of the cover part and to support from below the edges of inserted containers. The support is characterized in that it comprises a lower cover part (4) and an upper cover part (5) with holes (6, 7) and tongues (8, 9) on the inner peripheries of the holes. Tongue-free internal peripheral sections (14, 15) of the upper cover part (5, 4) are associated with inner peripheral sections (12, 13) comprising tongues (8, 9) and vice versa. When folded upwards, the tongues (8) on the lower cover part (4) penetrate the holes (7) in the upper cover part (5) and bear against tongue-free internal peripheral sections (15) thereof and, together with upwardly folded tongues (9) on the upper cover part (5), can support the edges (3) of inserted containers (1).
