Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9528479A1] Dendritic cells are therapeutically interesting as antigen-presenting cells. A process is disclosed for isolating at first peripheral blood cells, then enriching them in blood precursor cells that express the CD 34 antigen. These cells are multiplied ex vivo with hematopoietic growth factors associated with cytokines. At the end of 10-20 days, mainly dendritic cells are produced, which may if required be further purified. These cells are functionally active, being able to present antigens.
