[origin: EP0755731A1] The rolling unit for finish rolling of rod a pipe products incorporates three driven rolls (5a, 5b, 5c) jointly forming the roll aperture. The drive shafts of these rolls are connected by meshing gearwheels located in a plane perpendicular to the rolling direction. Any two meshing gearwheels (13, 14, 16) of any two adjacent shafts (1, 2, 3) form an angular gear unit with crown-wheel teeth.
