Ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum induktiven Aufheizen eines mit einem kanalförmigen Innenraum (2) versehenen feuerfesten Formteils (1), insbesondere eines Zufuhrkanals für einen Twin-Roll- oder Belt-Caster, sollen ein rasches, gleichmäßiges Aufheizen des Formteils (1) ermöglichen. Es ist hierfür in den Innenraum (2) ein Inneninduktor (4) einbringbar, mit dem das Formteil (1) von innen her aufheizbar ist und der dann aus dem Innenraum (2) herausnehmbar ist.
