Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0755888A2] A sheet (3) is supplied to a sheet decelerator (6), while being held by a grab, and via suspended guidance. The supporting air generating the guidance is also used to separate the sheets (3), from initial stream formation onwards. The air flow formed under the incoming sheet is continued in the area of the stream, thereby forming an extension of the suspended guidance towards delivery. The air flow is separated in front of the sheet decelerator, to form a carrier air flow (TT) to separate the sheets in the stream and a delivery flow (TA).
