[origin: EP0756058A1] The door has a middle layer (2) and inserted edge bands which are covered on both sides by a layer (6) of covering plates each 4.5 to 6.5 millimetres thick and 80 to 140 millimetres wide. The middle layer has an inner layer (3) of block-bonded bars (4') or panels whose fibres point crosswise to the bars (3') of the inner layer. The inset edge bands with the covering plate layers are not bonded with the middle layer. The bars of the inner layer are between 15 and 25 millimetres thick and between 25 and 40 millimetres wide. The bars of the outer layers (4) are between 4.5 and 6.5 millimetres thick and between 85 and 110 millimetres wide.
