Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0756133A2] The oil burner has deflectors (3) which create a swirling flow in the chamber (3') defined by the deflectors. There are least two injectors pointing at a tangent into the chamber. The deflectors consists of at least two identical, cylindrical plates (3") with the same cross-section over their entire length. A fuel feed pipe (2) with nozzle (D) points into the space defined by the deflectors. Air feeders formed by free-standing tubes (12) are positioned in front of the injectors with air outlets pointing into the injectors. The tubes and deflector plates are positioned on an air feed chamber (13). The deflector plates, on the inflow side, have smooth-surface extensions in front of curved walls (14). The deflector plates and tubes are axially parallel with the burner axis (11).
