[origin: JPH0927303A] PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric lamp which is made as simple as possible and has a tensile force reducing means of lead wires and on which a base is installed without an adhesive. SOLUTION: A base has a base shell 2 and a base insulator, and this base insulator has a lead-in port of lead wires 6 and 7, and a tensile force reducing means of the lead wires 6 and 7 is incorporated into the base. The tensile force reducing means is formed of two base insulator parts 3a and 3b which regulate the lead-in port of the lead wires 6 and 7 and can move in the inverse direction and mutually oppositely arranged two side walls 2a and 2b of the base shell 2. The base insulator parts 3a and 3b are mutually moved by protrusive parts 9 which are arranged on the side walls 2a and 2b and press the base insulator parts 3a and 3b, and the lead-in port is contracted thereby, and as a result, the lead wires 6 and 7 are fastened to and fixed in the lead-in port.
