[origin: DE4339246C1] Portable umbrellas with microchips or the like are to be protected. The microchips equipped as individually required are attached in or on the umbrella and are activated either by actuating the opening mechanism in automatic umbrellas or by direct triggering by hand in non-automatic umbrellas. By activating the microchips, either melodies, songs, singing, prose or sounds of any type can be heard. The microchips are designed as desired by the suppliers. The length of the activation phase likewise depends on the requirements of the distributors or suppliers. The user can reactivate the microchips as desired by renewed pressing of the setting knob or the microchip directly. Considered in total, the result is a requisite of high individual value and great originality.
