Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0757173A2] The system has a pump work chamber arranged above the pump piston in the top dead centre position and is connected to a fuel chamber via holes and at least one injection pressure conduit and at least one injection valve with injector to the combustion chamber of the engine. A spring space is located above the camshaft chamber and at least one lubricating oil chamber in the pump cylinder which is connected to lubricating oil inlet and outlet conduits. Between the pump piston (8) and the pump cylinder (7) in the upward movement direction of the pump piston, one or more, successively arranged ring chambers (20, 21, 22) are arranged. In the bottom dead centre position of the pump piston, the inflow hole of each ring chamber is opened and during the upward movement of the piston the inflow hole is closable. In the individual ring chambers a pressure build-up occurs. The height of each ring chamber is greater than the max stroke of the pump piston.
