Abstract (en)
The U-tube is made from a flat metal sheet, pressed and folded about a transverse line (L) to form two sections (18) which have their inner faces joined together by brazing so that their two pressed recesses (16) form a U-shaped channel which has two parallel branches joined by a curve. The flat metal sheet is of aluminium, coated with a brazing alloy on its inner face, and has a cut-away portion (26) in between the two open ends of the tube. The lower end (32) of the U-tube unit is bent over at right angles to act as a spacer when assembled with other units.

L'invention concerne un tube à circulation en (U) pour échangeur de chaleur. Ce tube est obtenu à partir d'un flan (10) en tôle métallique replié sur lui-même à partir d'une ligne de pliage (L) de manière à constituer deux parties (18) réunies entre elles par brasage du côté d'une face interne du flan, les deux parties (18) du flan étant embouties à partir de la face interne pour constituer deux empreintes en creux (16) en forme générale de (U) qui délimitent conjointement un canal en (U) ayant deux embouchures (34) s'ouvrant sur un bord (14) du flan plié. Application aux échangeurs de chaleur de véhicules automobiles. <IMAGE>
