Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0757416A2] The top surface Ä1Ü of the fluorescent lamp starter circuit module Ä3Ü has a heat reflecting cover Ä5Ü such that when the light unit Ä7Ü is inserted in the socket any heat generated ÄQÜ by the unit is reflected from the surface. Alternatively the lighting unit may have the connector section Ä9Ü covered by thermal shielding material. A third version has spacers set on the surface of the starter housing to ensure that a gap exists between the housing and the connector.
