[origin: DE19506246A1] A profiled seal (1) for plastic, metal or wooden windows can bridge even large gap widths in that the sealing lip (13) and the sealing bead (12) are given a special shape and a special position, and in addition are made of plastic materials that do not have the same softness or hardness. The sealing lip (13) and the sealing bead (12) extend obliquely away from each other, forming a V-shape. The interface (14) between the softer material of the sealing bead (12) and the harder material of the sealing lip (13) extends up to the sealing lip (13) on the one hand and to the anchoring wedge (11) on the other hand. Besides being able to bridge without problems large gap widths, the profiled seal (1) further has the advantage of being capable of being continuously laid without problems in angle areas and of always sealing in a reliable manner, since the sealing bead (12) and the sealing lip (13) are appropriately deformed when the glass pane (2) is set.
