[origin: DE19528893C1] Rail in which the ribs (5) are produced on the web (3) by rolling. The ribs can also be applied to the web by surface fusion welding. Alternatively the ribs can be attached using an adhesive. The ribs may be made of a different material from the rail, and more than one rib is applied to the outer side of the web.

Um bei einer Eisenbahnschiene, bestehend aus einem Kopf (1), einem Fuß (2) und einem diese verbindenden Steg (3) mit kontinuierlich verlaufender Wandstärke eine Reduzierung der Luftschallabstrahlung, die keines hohen Material- und Montageaufwands bedarf, zu erreichen, weist der Steg (3) ein- oder beidseitig seitlich angeordnete Rippen (5) auf, die höchstens eine Höhe (6) entsprechend der Dicke (7) des Steges (3) haben. <IMAGE>
