[origin: EP0758047A1] The method has the pressure medium held in a pressure reservoir (19) supplied via a valve, in response to the engine starting signal, for advancing the camshaft angle. Pref., the pressure reservoir is connected in series with an electromagnetically- operated 2/2-way valve (18), with a seating valve (20) between the pressure reservoir and the hydraulic circuit (16) on the pump side.
