Abstract (en)

The invention relates to and provides a running water waterwheel which solves problems of a prior running water waterwheel that when blades of the waterwheel plunge into and leap out of water, resistance of water is great to offset a part of hydraulic power obtained by the waterwheel, thus less hydraulic power being utilized. The invention is directed to improving the use of hydraulic power in a running water waterwheel by interposing an auxiliary plate (1'') between right and left circular side plates (1') of the running water waterwheel (1), forming a cylinder (1a) at a size ratio of about 4:5 between the cylinder and the side plates, forming a multiplicity of blades on the main surface of the cylinder (1a) at uniform spacings in such a manner as to make the front face (3) of a blade (2) recessed semi-circularly and make the real face of a blade (2) curved in a streamline shape over an extent of the spacing between the blades from the outer end of the blade (2) to the inner end of the blade so as to minimize resistance of water encountered when the right and left blades (2) plunge into and leap out of water, and loss of hydraulic power obtained at lower surfaces. <IMAGE>
