Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9627202A1] An electric installation switch has a movable actuating plate (2; 2a, 2b) that covers the front face of the switch and an electric quick make switching element (4) that may be mechanically actuated by the actuating plate. The actuating plate (2; 2a, 2b) is mounted on a parallel arm support (8) that allows it to be moved (5) in an approximately perpendicular direction to its surface (7). The parallel arm support (8) has at least two parallel arms (9, 10) located at different distances (11, 12) from the actuating plate (2; 2a, 2b) and that extend transversely to said direction of motion (5) of the actuating plate. One end (13, 14) of the arms (9, 10) is connected to the base (17) of the installation switch (1) and their other end (15, 16) is connected to the actuating plate. The quick make switching element is designed as a switching rocker (4) alternatively held in both its end positions by a prestressing force. A coupling member (23) facing the switching rocker alternatively engages two points of application of force (26, 27) on the switching rocker (4) associated each to one direction of motion of the switching rocker (4) for reversing it when the actuating plate is pressed. The parallel arm support (8) is preferably made of at least one parallelogram element.
