Abstract (en)
The high pressure discharge lamp includes a transparent gas-impermeable sealed discharge vessel containing electrode rods (4) and a filling which can be ionised. The electrode rods have a sintering section (5) containing at least 90 percent lanthanum oxide by weight, and this is surrounded by a spiral electrode (6). The sintering section may also contain barium oxide and tungsten oxide. The spiral electrode is formed in two layers and reaches out beyond the length of the sintering section. This end of the spiral electrode is narrowed so that the inner diameter is smaller than the diameter or thickness of the sintering section.

Die Erfindung betrifft Hochdruckentladungslampen, deren Elektroden einen Lanthanoxid enthaltenden und als Elektronenemitter wirkenden Sinterkörper (5) aufweisen, der von einer Elektrodenwendel (6) umgeben ist. Der Sinterkörper (5) enthält erfindungsgemäß mindestens 90 Gewichtsprozent Lanthanoxid. Dadurch werden eine hohe thermische Stabilität des Sinterkörpers (5) und eine gute Zündwilligkeit der Lampe bei über die Lampenlebensdauer vernachlässigbarer Schwärzung des Entladungsgefäßes (1) gewährleistet. <IMAGE>
